Mr. Pramod N. Dhokale is a Legal Advisor to various senior citizens organizations in Maharashtra including FESCOM, the Apex organization working for the causes of Senior citizens. He has been passionately advocating for the rights and well-being of senior citizens. As an active researcher in the legal field, he has made significant contributions, particularly in the formulation of the Right to Information (RTI) Act and in supporting the rehabilitation of the Project Affected Person's Act and Domestic Violence Act. He possesses extensive experience as a law educator, having taught subjects such as the Constitution of India, the Environmental Protection Act, the Indian Penal Code, etc. at the University of Mumbai for five years. Additionally, he has served as an active member of the Yashwantrao Chavan Legal Aid and Advice Forum of the Yashwantrao Chavan Centre forum for the last three decades, demonstrating his dedication to legal matters. Beyond his legal expertise, Adv. Pramod N. Dhokale is actively involved in creating awareness of the human rights of persons living with HIV and AIDS and has served as a resource person for the Mumbai District Aids Control Society. He also operates a YouTube channel 'Advocate Pramod Dhokale Simplifying Court Decisions' dedicated to disseminating legal information and guidance to the masses in general and senior citizens in particular, leveraging technology to empower this vulnerable population.
Dr Anagha Tendulkar Patil
Dr Anagha Tendulkar Patil is the Principal of Sophia College (Empowered Autonomous), Mumbai. She is the head of the Department of Sociology and has been actively involved in social research. She received her PhD degree in community care for the elderly from the University of Mumbai, Department of Sociology. Her main research interests include the Sociology of aging, the Sociology of the life course, historical sociological thought, and social research methodology. She has undertaken research projects like senior citizens associations in Mumbai, and old age homes in Mumbai. She is an honorary member of the Federation of Senior Citizens' Organizations (FESCOM) Maharashtra.
